Product Description
The Sonos ZoneBridge 100 makes setting up an all-wireless Sonos system wonderfully fast and easy. Instead of connecting a Sonos ZonePlayer S5 Music System to your router directly, simply connect the ZoneBridge to your router and the rest of your ZonePlayers will work wirelessly throughout your home. By installing ZoneBridge to your router, you can place your Sonos ZonePlayer S5 anywhere in your house without wires. With the Sonos Wireless Music System, one device has to be connected to your router. This creates the Sonos Wireless Mesh Network, which ensures that the music never stops. Then the all your ZonePlayers and controllers can operate wirelessly. Here s an example: Let s say you wish to purchase two Sonos ZonePlayer S5 units (fantastic sound, unlimited music), one for the kitchen and another for the bedroom, and neither of these rooms is near your router. In this case, use the ZoneBridge as the device that connects directly to your router. The S5 units in the kitchen, bedroom and all future units would work wirelessly from this point on, giving you a full home wireless music system. ZoneBridge is the fast, easy and very affordable way to wirelessly connect your first ZonePlayer S5 to your router from anywhere in your home. Order yours from Brookstone today!

5 out of 5 stars Simple and functional   February 14, 2008

The Sonos system is great, but expensive. If you don't need sound output or input near your router, hook up one of these as the network connection point for the rest of the system. It's a lot cheaper than a ZonePlayer and it works perfectly.

5 out of 5 stars Good for extending Sonos system. Also works as a wired access point for wifi network.   January 17, 2010

I initially bought this because my router and my stereo were on opposite sides of my living room. It worked great and didn't take up much room at all. After I moved, I was able to attach one of the ZonePlayers directly to the stereo, and I discovered I could use the ZoneBridge as an access point to provide wired ethernet ports at the other end of my house from my wireless router. I have a wired network printer that I can now put anywhere I want and use over the wireless network. Considering the price of other products designed specifically for this purpose, it's actually a pretty good deal for that as well! Since other reviews make it clear that it works well for its intended function, I thought I would mention this unexpected bonus feature.

5 out of 5 stars Great, simple way to distribute music around your home   December 27, 2008

This is a basic part of the Sonos system. It's used to connect the larger system to the internet. The advantage of the Sonos system the simple set-up. I had the whole 3 room system set up (without any call to customer service) in just a few hours. I considered alternate (and cheaper) systems like the Logitech Squeezebox. However, the alternatives use an existing wireless network. With one kid playing WOW and another downloading video, bandwidth is already um, squeezed. Of course, I could beef up my network, but that would make the price much higher and add a lot of complication. Sonos sets up its own proprietary "net" that works great and is dead simple. I'm very happy with the system.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent purchase, could not be happier   November 11, 2009

I have debated buying the Sonos system for several months mostly due to price and also in part wondering if it could truly live up to the claims and reviews. I am fairly technical and am usually an early adopter, although have at times, been disappointed with other purchases not working quite as well as advertised. I am thrilled with all aspects of my Sonos purchase and cannot believe how easy it was to set up and the sound quality. I received it about an hour ago, and in minutes, had the Zone Bridge connected to my router (since the router is kept hidden in a closet out of sight) and then the S5 ZonePlayer set up in my living room. I can now stream my iTunes Library from a Time Capsule (NAS) and listen to streaming music from Pandora, Last.fm, Sirius and more. Plus, as a transplanted Minnesotan in New York, I can save my favorite local stations from MN and listen to them here as if I were at home. The music is flawless, crystal clear and I would never know it is from the internet- no stutters, gaps or delay. This is one product that has surpassed my expectations completely. The only downside I can see will be now wanting to buy another S5 for my bedroom.

5 out of 5 stars Extend your rang while freeing up a ZonePlayer   December 30, 2007

This item is a must have if you live in a large house or apartment. The Sonos ZoneBridge 100 will not only allow you to free up a ZonePlayer but it will help fill in those dead spots in your house. The only problem I had with the Sonos system was that the range on the players did not meet my needs. Now that they have introduced the bridge which can be used to extend you signal it makes the system so much better.
